David Armstrong is a father, teacher, and artist who loves being in the woods. He taught bookbinding, drawing, printmaking, and painting at The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design for eighteen years and for two years in Nunavut. He is also a Red Seal Journeyman carpenter who specializes in green building and heritage restoration.

David’s love of land-based learning has led him to create Ember Arts: a place where all people are welcome to come and deepen their connection to the natural world through learning and creating.
